GAS · OIL & GASGas Generator Sets
BCP builds reliable, efficient power for the oil and gas industry. The sets are durable, high-performing and dependable even in the harshest environments — keeping exploration, production and processing running while holding operating cost and uptime where they belong.
01 — Where they run
Onshore and offshore,
one power logic
We supply solutions, products and services for onshore and offshore oil and gas fields, covering exploration, production, transport, storage and refining.
An offshore platform has little floor space and short maintenance windows, so service access, vibration isolation and corrosion protection have to be designed in from the start. Onshore gathering stations are scattered and run unattended. Same industry, two very different site conditions — a configuration cannot simply be copied across.

02 — What we cover
From a single set to a full energy system
Three capabilities chain together: custom engineering decides whether it can be built, multi-industry experience decides whether it is built right, and distributed generation decides whether it pays.
Standard and custom
Standard sets cover routine duties; non-standard requirements are re-drawn around the site — paralleling, waste-heat recovery, containerised builds and special voltages are all in scope. Long research and validation work in gas products lets us deliver design, installation, operation and maintenance as one package.
Multi-industry experience
Combined heat and power, waste-to-energy and gas transmission. Our teams have project experience in oil and gas pipelines, mines, eco-power stations, green data centres, green commercial buildings and public carbon-reduction facilities.
Distributed generation
Distributed generation uses resources sensibly: low losses, low emissions, flexible operation and solid returns, with a marked cut in CO2. It suits sites where load points are scattered and extending the grid is expensive.
03 — Base platforms
Three platforms,
one factory standard
Sets are selected by platform; BCP handles integration, packaging and the on-load test at the works, with documentation aligned at the same time.
- 01
BCP Yuchai & MTU
Gas-engine platform, integrated, packaged and load-tested by BCP.
- 02
BCP Weichai & Baudouin
Same integration and test flow, configured to the project gas source and duty.
- 03
BCP packaged by CNPC JCPC
Packaged to oil and gas project specifications, with documentation and compliance items delivered together.
04 — FAQ
Five things buyers ask
about gas sets
Every answer comes from real pre-sales records. If your question is not here, write to us.
Talk to engineering→01Which fuels can they run on?
Natural gas above all; associated gas at oil and gas fields and biogas (including landfill gas) are confirmed against the site gas conditions. Gas composition and calorific value drive output, so please send them with the enquiry.
02Can they run as combined heat and power?
Yes. Waste heat can supply heating or cooling; the recovery arrangement follows the heat load and when that heat is needed.
03Can several sets run in parallel?
Yes. Sets are grouped and switched against the load curve, and the paralleling scheme — control and protection logic included — is issued with the set configuration.
04How is lead time handled for non-standard work?
Selection starts as soon as the parameters are complete and standard configurations are scheduled first. Non-standard work — paralleling, waste-heat recovery, containerised or special voltages — is scheduled after engineering review.
05What should an enquiry include?
Gas type and calorific value, power requirement, voltage and frequency, prime or standby duty, installation environment (onshore or offshore, altitude, ambient temperature) and delivery location.
Send us the duty
Power, voltage and frequency, prime or standby, and hours per day — those four items are enough to start the selection.
