CHINT Contactor NXC-40 is an electrical component of the panel or control circuit: it conducts, switches, protects or signals inside the system.
In electrical work 90 % of faults sit in the joint, not in the part. A loose terminal, a bad crimp or chafed insulation produce intermittent faults that no new component will cure.

How to verify before ordering
- Match voltage, current and conductor cross-section to what the circuit demands.
- Check the connection type (screw, spring, crimp) and terminal gauge.
- Confirm the IP rating if the part sits in an exposed area of the panel.
- Declared make or line: CHINT. If your equipment carries another make, the part may not be equivalent.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a terminal get hot?
Contact resistance: too little clamping area or a bad crimp. The heat oxidises the joint and worsens it until the circuit opens.
Can I fit a relay with a higher amp rating?
You can, and it is often good practice, provided coil voltage and contact arrangement match. Never fit one with a lower rating.
