El AVR R726 es un módulo adicional que transforma reguladores de voltaje automáticos como el R129, R130, R438 y R450 en un sistema de "4 funciones", optimizando su uso en generadores diésel, especialmente aquellos paralelos a la red eléctrica. Además de la regulación de voltaje (1ª función), el R726 habilita la regulación del factor de potencia ("COS" o 2ª función) mediante un CT adicional. La 3ª función es la igualación de voltajes (BALANCE) previa al paralelismo con la red (U=U), controlada por un sincronizador y el recortador de voltaje remoto del AVR. La 4ª función permite la operación paralela con otros alternadores equipados con el mismo R726 durante la igualación de voltaje. AVR - R726 is the automatic voltage regulator of the generator: it reads the output voltage and corrects the field excitation so the voltage stays stable as the load changes.
